Mississippi River, Bettendorf, Iowa

This project involved replacement of suspender ropes and linkage pins on the I-74 suspension bridge over the Mississippi River at Bettendorf, Iowa. Design challenges included supporting the existing roadway and traffic for each replacement and supporting the mechanical equipment used to ream the holes for the new pins.
